Our Must-have Shea Butter Products for Mega Hydrated Skin.

From the get-go, nuddy has been obsessed with using the best ingredients, to achieve the best results for our community. We have always made sure that not only do our products look (and smell) fantastic, they actually WORK. There is nothing worse than loving a brand aesthetic, only to be left feeling more bitter than our Lime and Lemon soap bar at its results.

When formulating our soap bars, we wanted only the best and most nourishing ingredients to be included. Introducing Shea butter. This magical natural element comes from the nut of the African Shea tree and is the BOMB. It is praised for being an incredible emollient for dry skin, making it an obvious choice for our key soap ingredient. Whilst already discussed the wonderful benefits of Shea butter (you can check it out here), we’re here to share some of our FAVE beauty and skincare products that contain this holy grail of an ingredient. Let’s dive in…

The Body Shop Shea Nourishing Body Butter.

A staple cruelty-free brand, the Body Shop has a full range of Shea butter products which  all smell DIVINE. One of our top picks is their Shea Nourishing Body Butter, a super thick, hydrating moisturiser that  protects dry skin, whilst not leaving you greasy. The Body Shop source their Community Fair Trade Shea butter from Ghana, where it is handcrafted by women who have generational expertise in its wonderful properties. Use this wonder balm alone or pair it up with products from the range to leave you super nourished and smelling delicious.

L’Occitane Shea Ultra Rich Lip Balm Certified Organic.

Winter cracked lips are the bane of our lives, fact. In order to banish the flakes, we swear by L’Occitane’s Shea Ultra Rich Lip Balm, which is a total skin saviour. Packed full of fair trade Shea butter, this little beauty is the solution for soft, supple smackers. Even though we can’t kiss who we want at the moment, it’s always good to get prepared...

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Scrub.

Palmer’s have been a cult classic in the hydration world for years, with their distinctive chocolatey scent recognisable from a mile away. Despite their main ingredient being cocoa butter, this body scrub also contains Shea butter, making it a total superhero for all you body buffing needs. This is absolutely perfect for getting rid of dead skin cells and/or dodgy fake tan patches, leaving you glowing and super smooth.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque.

The clue is in the brand name with this one. Founded in 1912, Shea Moisture are one of our go to brands for hair care. We absolutely adore this hair mask which repairs dry, damaged and over processed hair, leaving it super soft and silky. Perfect for a 5 minute rejuvenation in the shower or an overnight deep treatment, this mask takes all the goodness of Shea butter and waves it’s magic wand straight through your locks.

Lush Pearl Massage Bar.

Infamous for making bath time super fun, Lush has a whole host of Shea butter products. Our favourite is definitely the Pearl massage bar, which is basically a massage oil without the wasteful packaging. Once this bar gets activated by the warmth of that your hands, it melts into a luxurious liquid which is perfect for hydrating dry skin and leaving our body glowing. Why not stock up now and pencil in a rub down with your loved one…

Phew! All of that talk of Shea butter has got us reaching for the moisturiser. Hydration is KEY to healthy, supple skin and we think Shea butter is the perfect way to go about it. Make sure next time you’re stocking up on moisturising goodies, they contain this absolute wonder ingredient (our soap bars are the perfect place to start…)
