In case you didn't know, we're having our ultimate Hot Girl Summer. It's all about empowerment, self confidence and having the best damn time of our lives. And what do we need to accompany us on this self loving journey? A soundtrack, that's what.

That's why we've rounded up our Top 10 ultimate empowering albums, which are guaranteed to have us feeling good as hell this summer. From sassy, feel good anthems, to introspective confessions of our feelings, we've got a whole range of songs that will have you embracing your full self this summer. 

BEYONCE- Beyonce

The self love queen herself. Beyonce's self titled album is one of our go to's when it comes to feeling our best selves. Praised for its exploration of sexuality, independence and honesty, this album certainly has us waking up feeling flawless AF.

Frank- Amy Winehouse

The late, great Amy's debut release is full of raw emotion and we think being in touch with our feelings is a super important aspect of having a Hot Girl Summer. This is full of her incredible lyricism and soul and we think it's a fabulous album for when we just need to give ourselves some TLC.

Cuz I Love You- Lizzo

Of course self love and body positivity icon, Lizzo had to make our list. Her 2019 album has broken so many stigmas (and records) around what it means to be a woman and owning your self. You're lying if you haven't scream sang 'WHY MEN GREAT TILL THEY GOTTA BE GREAT' in the car.

 Anti- Rihanna

RiRi's 2016 album, Anti is full of empowering anthems, particularly 'Needed Me', which totally screams being a fabulous independent babe. She is known for encouraging her fans to love themselves, which is something she emulates in her music- and we can totally get on board with this. Please, Rihanna, make some more music, we beg.

It's Not Me, It's You- Lily Allen

Lily's second album is full of SASS and we love her for it. Of course we had to pick the iconic, F*ck You as our most empowering song, but her whole album discusses themes of demanding better and putting yourself first. Lily is never afraid of speaking her own mind, which we think is an incredibly important, brave trait to have.

Lungs- Florence and the Machine

Florence's dreamy debut is full of cathartic songs that capture perfectly themes of love, mental health and embracing every part of yourself. Dog Days Are Over summarises what it feels like to look into the future and let go of all the rubbish things in our lives- a mentality we think is essential for your Hot Girl Summer.

Reputation- Taylor Swift

Arguably Taylor's most iconic album, these tracks see her embracing her new found 'reputation' and reminding us all that you just can't please everyone. Written in response to the infamous Kimye phonecall incident, we love the themes of self acceptance, vulnerability and generally not given a f*ck.

19- Adele

Adele is the ultimate queen of owning your emotions- whether they're positive or negative. We know that it's impossible to feel good ALL the time, which is why we think it's crucial to allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling- it's all valid. Adele's 19 is the perfect album for when you're feeling a real range of emotions.

Women in Music: Pt. III- Haim

We LOVE Haim. These American sisters are fun, fresh and incredibly talented, and their latest release is no exception. Women In Music: Pt III pays particular focus to misogyny within the music industry and how we can relate to this in day to day life. You go gals.

Ariana's emotionally driven 5th album, is honest and raw, addressing the personal trauma she has dealt with. We adore Ariana's vulnerability, turning her own struggles into empowering music that will no doubt help other individuals through their own difficult times. Ariana, you are amazing.
