Slow Fashion Faves: Summer Edition.
The sunshine is FINALLY here and we are soooo ready! The UK’s weather has been playing with our feelings lately but we’re eventually being blessed with sunshine and warmer days, and you know what that means… summer ‘fits babyyy!
Unfortunately, consumerism culture, fast fashion and social media have pioneered a world where many feel that they need to be constantly purchasing new clothes, always have the most on-trend pieces, even if they are just micro-trends, and never, ever outfit repeating. Thus, creating a world of continual waste and major damage to our planet, all at the hand of fast fashion. Fast fashion has an immense impact on our environment, from polluting our air and waters to using toxic textile dyes and generating huge amounts of waste. And lets not forget the terrible quality of these fast fashion pieces, that either fade or fall apart, and that just is not our summer vibe. To help out the conscious queens out there who are wanting to shop more sustainably this summer, we have compiled a list of some incredible slow fashion brands and some of our summer fashion favourites.
