Whilst social media has done it's best to keep us connected during these crazy times, it's safe to say that one swipe through Instagram/Twitter/Facebook is not always the best for our mental health. Whether it's the unrealistic beauty standards flooding your feed or constant anxiety inducing news notifications, sometimes you just need a burst of positivity instead.

One way of ensuring your time on social media is a good one, is by filtering your feed to ensure it's full of good vibes. We've rounded up some of our favourite positive accounts that you just have to follow on Insta to brighten your day. Alongside our fave empowering influencers, these accounts will have your feed feeling good as hell in no time.

1. @majicallynews

Majically News is the best source of heartwarming, moving stories that go the extra mile to restore our faith in humanity. We love their adorable video content and tales of some truly inspiring individuals- it really is positivity in it's truest form. Make sure to head on over to their reels section for content that will leave you feeling alllllll the feels.

2. @thehappybroadcast

The Happy Broadcast describes itself as anxiety-free news thats good for your mental health- and we totally agree. From positive news about our planet, to progressive political updates, their posts also have the cutest illustrations to accompany their bursts of good news. If you're sick of constant crappy news notifications, make sure to switch their ones on instead.

3. @weratedogs

Daily dog pics= instant serotonin boost. This page posts hilarious ratings of the cute pups followers have sent photos of and we live for their content. Trust us, nothing brightens our day more than puppy content and this is the perfect account to start with. From corgis to labradors, We Rate Dogs is guaranteed to switch up the negativity of your Insta feed.

There's just something about a beautifully illustrated quote that really brightens our day- especially when they're spreading empowering messages like Self Care Visuals are. Sometimes seeing that little piece of self-loving content can really switch up your mindset, especially if you're having a bit of a rubbish day. P.S. the make fabulous screensavers.

5. @thehappynewspaper

Created by illustrating genius, Emily Coxhead, The Happy Newspaper is a real life newspaper that is published every 3 months and is designed to bring good vibes right to your doorstep. We are obsessed with their Insta feed, which is full of beautiful uplifting infographics and statistics- they're cute AF. If the world has left you feeling a little bit overwhelmed right now, make sure to give this account a follow.

6. @positivelypresent

Washington based artist, Dani DiPirro creates beautifully illustrated quotes that instantly boost your mood. She is the author of Grow Through It, a book which aims to uplift it's readers, and remind them that they're doing great- which is something we are huge advocates for, here at nuddy. Trust us, you will be totally obsessed with her colourful, encouraging posts (we have them all saved!).

Self Care Spotlight tackles discussions and stigmas surrounding mental health in the form of gorgeous illustrated infographics. From handy tips on dealing with anxiety, to easy to remember affirmations that will leave you feeling ready to face the day, this account is full of sunshine.
