PRODUCT TIPS AND FAQS.
SUPER MOISTURISING SOAP BARS.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
YES. Our bars are 97% natural and say NO to irritants, which means they are great for sensitive skin.
Can the soaps be used as body bars?
YES! Our Shea butter bars are super moisturising and can be used on the whole body.
Can I use your soap bars as a facial cleanser?
Yes! We’ve had some great feedback from our community who have used our bars as facial cleansers- why not check them out here.
How long do your soap bars last?
Our soap bars are triple milled, meaning they last on average X3 as longer than most bars.
What is triple milling?
Triple milling is our soap production process. Our soap bar formula goes through stainless steel rollers 3 times to ensure the texture and scent of the formula is evenly distributed. This creates a harder bar that lasts much longer than typical soap bars, as well as a much more luxurious lather.
Can I use your shampoo bars if I have a dry/sensitive scalp?
Yes you can! Our bars are free from SLS/SLES/Paraben/Phthalates, which are known skin irritants. This means that they are safe to use on dry and sensitive scalps and will not cause further irritation.
Are your shampoo bars suitable for curly hair?
Yes! Our bars are curly girl method approved and we have had some of our BEST results on curly haired gals.
Will I experience a transition phase?
Nope! Unlike many shampoo bars, nuddy bars will not leave you in transition phase limbo.
How often should I use my shampoo bar?
As with most shampoos, we recommend washing your hair every few days for optimal results.
How big are the shampoo bars and how long will they last?
Our shampoo bars are 100g and usage will determine how they last. We say that on average you will get 80 washes per bar.
Can I get a trial size sample of your shampoo bars?
Uh huh, honey. Want to make sure our shampoo bars suit your hair before buying full sized? We offer free 20g samples of our bars for you to trial before making the switch (you just pay P&P). Check out our shampoo bar trials here.
How do I use the shampoo bar?
For best results, we recommend holding the bar under running water for 10-15 seconds to activate. Rub the bar between your hands to build up a creamy lather and massage the scalp. You can also rub the bar directly onto the hair. Distribute lather evenly over the scalp and ends of hair before rinsing thoroughly.
Will I need to use a conditioner alongside my shampoo bar?
This depends on your hair type! We recommend washing your hair with and without additional conditioner to see what worst best for your hair- every one is subjective!
What is the difference between a safety razor and a disposable razor?
A safety razor contains a safety device between the edge of the blade and the skin, resulting in less chance of injury, and a closer, more hygienic shave. Plus, they will last you your lifetime, helping to save your pocket and the planet in equal measures.
What are you safety razors made of?
Our razors are 100% plastic free, instead made from brass.
How often do I need to change my blade?
We recommend using each side of your blade 4-5 times before switching to a new one.
How do I use the safety razor?
Unscrew the handle from the two part head and insert blade. Reattach the handle securely. Moisten the shaving area with warm water and massage the area with your nuddy soap.
Are your products vegan-friendly?
YES! All of our range is totally suitable for vegans.
Are your products plastic free?
Of course! We pride ourselves on being a plastic free brand and want to encourage plastic free bathrooms all over the world.
Are your products cruelty free?
Duh! We pledge never to test on animals, instead opting for our (willing) friends and family instead. Humans are the only animals used for testing our products.
What are SLS/SLES and will I find them in your shampoo bars?
SLS=Sodium Laureth Sulfate/ SLES=Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate.
These are chemicals that are often used in shampoos to help create their lathering effect. The issue is, they are known irritants that can aggravate the scalp and cause dryness and damage. This is why we choose NOT to use SLS, instead opting for much more skin-friendly ingredients, like argan and coconut oils.
